Stone

Hand carving of stone is a process that shapes the final form, structure, and expression of a piece.

I work with both natural and treated stones. I carve them, or use cut and rough stones, combining them with metal while seeking a balance between the material's natural character and the authorial intervention. The form and structure of the stone often determine the final piece more than any predefined design.
