To take a piece of metal and, using a hammer and fire, shape it according to my vision. To work a piece of stone so that it reveals what lies within. To pass on the visibility and warmth of wood to the jewellery. To play. To find kindred spirits who, in the finished piece, find a part of themselves and are able to accept it as part of their personality. This is the dream my work helps me fulfill.

During my studies, I had the opportunity to acquaint myself with various fields and master numerous artistic techniques. It will always be an advantage to view jewellery as a sculptural artifact, to incorporate the drawing-like quality of surfaces, to play with concepts, and to ponder its expressive value rather than seeing it merely as a fashion accessory.

I build on honest, handcrafted work. It anchors me to reality. It's the most genuine thing I can do.
